MIster Cee: Victim of Black Radio Culture

Howard noted that (New York radio station) Hot97 DJ Mister Cee had been arrested for–allegedly–receiving oral sex from another man in a parked car. Howard knew Mister Cee’s career was over in the infamously homophobic culture of black radio: “In black radio, they’re going to pounce on you, man…black [gay] guys get it tough.” Howard explained that the allegations had sparked a war of words between Hot97 and its rival station, Power105.
