He’s Also A Zen Stockbroker
After listening to Sal continue to be puzzled by the phrase “within three” on yesterday’s Wrap-Up Show, Howard laughed: “I feel bad for you. I do. I don’t know how you feed a family.”
Sal said he was always trying to learn: “I’m reading ‘The Art of Happiness’ by the Dalai Lama…the man was tortured and he was in prison for so long and yet he can still find the good things in life. And I said, ‘Wow, if this guy can find happiness, I can.'”
Howard thought Sal could skip the book: “I can find happiness for you in two seconds. Get a divorce.”
Sal ignored Howard’s advice, paraphrasing the Lama: “The kinder you are to people, the more you feed your spirit and your soul and the happier you will be.”
Howard was taken aback: “Look at Sal! Learning from a book. I’m impressed.”
Later, Sal confessed that it’d taken him a year to read 6 chapters: “It’s on my iPad and I had trouble downloading it and once I did, I had trouble utilizing the app, and that took me about a month…so I’m about half-way through.”
