The twitter universe once again ruined a good thing: the promotion of the new North Shore Animal League calendar

Howard said he and Beth had recently shot a calendar for the North Shore Animal League: “And we’ll sign the first thousand or so. So I thought it was a nice thing.”
But when Howard posted a link on Twitter, too many people mocked the effort: “I am no longer tweeting. I know it’s for a good cause. But my audience doesn’t seem to be able to discern between a good cause and just some douchey self-promotion.”
