Early in the show, Howard noted that Joe Frazier’s health was suffering: “C’mon, Joe. You can rally back.”

Robin tried to remember if they’d talked about it: “Did he tell us he had cancer?”

Howard didn’t recall Joe ever mentioning it: “I don’t know. Shows us how connected we are.”

Regardless, he encouraged Joe to fight it out: “Joe, pull out of this will you? You beat everybody else. You can beat cancer.”
