Howard listened to a clip of Sue Simmons final WNBC broadcast, noting that she took advantage her final few seconds: “She basically said, ‘Hey, somebody else give me a job.'” But Joe Scarborough cut her off, rushing to commercial with, “Ok, we’ve got to go. For the last time.” Howard laughed: “Ok! Big applause. Out! Out the door. But that’s the business. Especially on these newscasts, they’ve got to get younger, hotter chicks.”
