Late in the show, Howard hoped Gary would serve Lifebeat well as its new President–the charity’s mission of AIDS awareness is important: “A lot of people think AIDS is kind of cured, but they don’t realize people are [still] dying from it.”

Gary agreed: “There’s a whole generation of people who are like, ‘Oh, if get AIDS, I can take the cocktail and be fine.’ But it’s not fine. At all.”
