Former WTXF weatherman John Bolaris stopped by with a Hurricane Sandy update, but Howard first asked him to stop texting storm updates to Beth: “Do me a favor and lose my wife’s number.” John insisted he was just “keeping her safe,” but Howard thought he could handle that himself: “No more.” John went on to call Hurricane Sandy “the perfect storm,” predicting that Lower Manhattan will “flood out,” even submerging FDR Drive: “I’ve never seen anything like this, Howard. … You’ll see the winds really ramp up around 2 o’clock this afternoon. Hurricane force winds by evening.” Still, the staff will be fine in Midtown: “You’re in a safe zone here.”
