Lisa G reported that Steve Brandano had quit ‘Back Office Radio,’ so Steve came in to say he quit after watching the show destroy JD and Jason’s friendship: “I think we needed a break in the back office. … I’m friends with both of them and I think it got way out of hand.” Jason told Howard the show was popular (“People seem to care. I know you don’t. But fans do.”), but Steve thought the cost was too high: “There’s not going to be friends if they keep doing the show the way they’re doing it.” Steve said the show snowballed any in-fighting: “If someone takes a little shot, it’s really not a big deal, but then someone takes a little shot back and it builds and builds and builds…I just think it’s going to kill all of us if it keeps going the way it’s going.” Howard countered that radio was no business for friends: “There can’t be a nice ‘Back Office Radio’ show. It can’t be nice.”
