Let’s Be Clear, Howard Is Still Not an Idiot

Howard was still fuming mad about the article that called him in idiot in yesterday’s Daily News, but his anger totally shifted away from the reporters named in the articles byline.

It turns out that one of them is actually a huge fan of the show and was devastated when Howard was so upset by what was written. Neither of the reporters were actually responsible for the crazy Howard-bashing – they wrote a perfectly reasonable article and some editor turned it into a hatchet job.

A friend sent Howard the article as it was meant to be printed and Howard was not offended by it, but he hit the ceiling that a cowardly editor would change the tone of a piece without attaching his or her own name to it.

Howard was so incensed that he called the Daily News to speak with Mortimer Zuckerman (the paper’s publisher and owner, who made almost identical comments to Howard’s in an article he wrote for the Wall Street Journal). Unfortunately, Mr. Zuckerman was unavailable.
