Bubba “the Love Sponge” Clem was patched in live from his own show to speak to Howard about Hulk Hogan’s $145 million win over Gawker in court and the release of a tape recorded in Bubba’s home showing the professional wrestler having relations with Bubba’s then-wife, Heather Clem.

“It blows my mind that this happened,” the radio host told Howard, maintaining that he was not watching the tape while it was being made.

Trying to get to the root of why this tape was made in the first place, Howard wondered if Bubba got sexually aroused from watching another man with his wife. “Were you using the tapes for your own sexual gratification?” he asked.

“No, that’s not my thing,” Bubba insisted. “To this day I have not seen any of them,” he further asserted.

Howard asked if Bubba had tapes of any other celebrities with his ex-wife, but he denied both having any others or destroying any leftovers.

As for Hulk Hogan, Bubba said he was glad the court decided to award him $145 million from Gawker and added that he “would like to be his friend,” despite the circumstances.

Bubba also pleaded with Howard to lobby for his return to SiriusXM radio before hanging up. He admitted that he had gained some weight and now walks around at about 300 lbs. as opposed to the 250 lbs. he weighed when he worked with Howard. “I’m an emotional, stressful eater,” Bubba explained.
