Jason Kaplan Hits ‘Em With the Hein

Jason Kaplan has continued over the past few months to terrorize fellow staffer Jon Hein with his “Hit ‘Em With the Hein” chant, and Wednesday morning Howard checked in with the two to see how things were escalating.

“Jon hates that Jason is making this a thing,” Howard told listeners.

Jason came in and explained that he does it every time Jon gets up to leave and while Hein believes if he doesn’t react, it’ll go away, Jason had news for him: “It’s just funny no matter what to me.”

“Jason thinks this is the new Baba Booey,” JD Harmeyer posited.

Shuli countered that any time he tries to get a comment on anything to do with Jon Hein, JD refuses to answer and vice versa. Jon and JD seem to have an odd sort of bond. Jason added that when he went to JD to pull some clips of people saying “Hit ‘Em with the Hein,” JD wouldn’t even give him the time of day.

“JD and I are really good friends,” Jon agreed.

Gary chimed in that Jon is the only person who has ever been allowed anywhere near JD’s apartment. Jason added that when Jon is stuck in traffic he’ll call the office and JD will keep him on speakerphone for an hour while he does work.

“I hate seeing two pear-shaped men fight,” Howard joked before wondering who had the bigger waist size, currently – Jason or Jon.

Jason copped to having the larger pant-size, but revealed that he is taking another crack at dieting and even joined Weight Watchers. “I’m trying to take my health more seriously,” he said.

The impetus for change? Jason stopped going to a 90-something-year-old doctor who kept telling him everything was fine and instead got some blood work done with a new physician and it came back in the “yellow zone.” “That’s where I’m at,” the 2007 “Battle of the Blobs” runner-up explained.
