Howard Wonders Why Perry Farrell Hasn’t Yet Been Inducted Into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame

Howard turned back the clock on Monday morning and took listeners back to 2007 when legendary rock frontman Perry Farrell visited the Stern Show along with his wife and bandmate Etty Lau Farrell. In addition to sitting for a wide-ranging interview, the talented couple and their band Satellite Party delivered a memorable rendition of one of Perry’s other bands biggest hits: Jane’s Addiction’s “Been Caught Stealing.”
“I watch it almost every day,” Howard said of Perry’s in-studio performance (above). “If you don’t watch that clip, you’re insane. That is one of the best performances ever done on this show.”
Howard enjoyed more than just the music that day, too. He also appreciated the stage presence of Etty Lau and Satellite Party’s keyboardist Jenny Galt. “I have tried a million fucking times to watch Perry singing this without completely obsessing on his wife dancing in the background,” he said with a laugh.
Considering how talented the Jane’s Addiction, Porno for Pyros, and Satellite Party singer is as both a musician and performer, Howard couldn’t understand why Perry hadn’t yet been inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame.
“This is one of the best frontmen I’ve ever seen in my life,” he concluded.
