VIDEO: Is Gary Dell’Abate Related to a Famous Renaissance Painter?

Stern Show executive producer Gary Dell’Abate’s recent climb into his family tree during quarantine has led to him hiring a genealogical specialist to research even further. “I outsourced it in the sense where she’s guiding me on what to do next,” he told Howard in an update on Monday before revealing a potential ancestor of great prominence. “There’s a famous renaissance painter and our family always thought we might be related. Niccolò dell’Abbate – whose paintings are right next to the Mona Lisa in the Louvre in Paris.”

While Howard’s longtime executive producer might have roots steeped in historical importance, he’s also prepared for the direct opposite. “I’m afraid that I’m going to find out that … I’m not related to the painter, I’m related to fuckin’ thieves who did horrible things,” Gary admitted.

For Howard, the strongest limb of the bunch has already been decided. “Gary is the greatest Dell’Abate in the family tree,” he declared with certainty. “There’s no Genghis Khan Dell’Abate.”
