PHOTOS: JD Harmeyer Gets His Head Shaved in Highly Anticipated Super Bald Event

Anticipation was high at the Stern Show Monday morning when, after losing an N.F.L playoff bet to Richard Christy, JD Harmeyer had to get his head shaved in an event deemed the Road to the Super Bald. “The buzz around the office has not been like this in quite a while,” JD admitted before taking a seat in the barber’s chair.

Howard, on the other hand, said he had some reservations about it. “I feel like I’m about to watch an execution,” he joked.

“Don’t feel bad,” Richard countered. “Did he feel bad when my hat got jizzed all over?”

“I don’t feel bad for him at all,” Howard’s stylist Ralph Cirella agreed. “It grows back, it’s not like he has to cut off an arm.”

Upon Ralph’s suggestion, the barber, who counts both the New York Giants and Yankees as clients, first gave JD a mohawk. “He looks like he’s going to get brain surgery,” Ralph observed. “This guy’s not buzzing his head, he’s shaving it down to the skin.”

After getting completely shaved, JD immediately noticed a difference. “I do feel the air,” he reported before adding, “this feels weird.”

Despite being JD’s opponent, Richard was complimentary. “I think it makes JD look way younger,” he observed. “He looks really good … he should be thanking me.”

Howard agreed. “I think you look handsome,” he told JD.
