Keith Richards Will Soon Be Making His Stern Show Debut

Over the last year, Howard has been able to strike some big names off his bucket list of interview subjects and he’s about to tackle another one — Keith Richards. On Wednesday morning, he revealed that he spoke with the legendary Rolling Stones guitarist ahead of an upcoming sit-down.
“I talked to Keith for about five minutes on the phone …. [he’s] going to do an interview and I can’t wait,” he told co-host Robin Quivers. “If you would have said to me when I was a boy I’d be on a phone call with Keith Richards I would have said you’re insane.”
Despite having already interviewed Stones frontman Mick Jagger in 2021, Howard was still nervous to speak with another one of his rock and roll idols. Thankfully, Richards immediately put him at ease. “He goes, ‘You’re Howard fucking Stern,’” he recalled of the exchange. “We started laughing and we were off to the races.”
As far as the interview, Howard has plenty of questions, one of which is on the secret of songwriting. “No one’s ever been able to explain it to me so I’m relying on Keith Richards to tell me how he does it,” Howard said.
