What does one get for the heavy metal drummer turned Stern Show staffer who has everything? In Richard Christy’s case, just allow him to act out another one of his homoerotic fantasies on the air.
Richard celebrated his 50th birthday on Monday, and Howard honored the staffer by inviting him on the air to pitch some of his most risqué stunts yet. First, Christy suggested his colleague JD Harmeyer privately show him his penis so he could then sketch it for everyone to see. But JD wasn’t having it.
“My penis is out of the Richard Christy business,” JD laughed.
Richard’s other pitches included drinking champagne through his butt, chloroforming staffer Jon Hein, and getting naked and oiled up for an erotic Nuru massage with longtime friend and colleague Sal Governale. Ultimately, however the staff settled on Richard playing an on-air game of “Dick or Sausage?” — which would see Richard lay his manhood on a platter alongside several sausages while his blindfolded colleagues try and guess what they’re touching.
“I think this is the dumbest, silliest thing in the world, but I would do it,” executive producer Gary Dell’Abate said, adding, “I’ve seen Richard’s dick—you better get some small sausages.”
“If Gary wants to blow some air on it, too, that’s fine,” Richard laughed.
Sal could hardly believe it. “Most people for their 50th birthday, [they] have a nice dinner, [they] send out invitations—Richard wants five guys tugging on his dick,” he concluded.
