The Stern Show was given something to grapple with Tuesday morning: whether JD Harmeyer could beat fellow staffer Samantha Fontana in a wrestling match. JD — who as a child created the wrestling character “Strong Man” — thought he could.
“Is it possible? Sure … I am bigger than Samantha,” he reasoned to Howard. “This isn’t about beating somebody up. It’s about whether I could pin them down.”
“She could trip,” co-host Robin Quivers countered with a laugh.
Samantha, a former fitness trainer, said she’d “never been so confident” about something. “There’s no way in hell he can beat me in a wrestling match … I would run his ass,” she responded before teasing some strategy. “He could try to get me, and I would just run around as fast as I could, and then I’d trip him, and then I’d sit on him.”
