In the newly released trailer for “Fun Mom Dinner,” Toni Collette, Bridget Everett, Katie Aselton, and “Saturday Night Live” veteran Molly Shannon play four strikingly different moms with kids in the same preschool class who reluctantly agree to meet for a harmless dinner.

Of course, their relaxing evening out soon turns into a crazy night on the town. In addition to booze, dancing, karaoke, fisticuffs, and a special strain of “mom” weed, the ladies’ adventures include a run-in with a bartender played by Maroon 5 frontman and “The Voice” judge Adam Levine.

The film also stars Paul Rudd, Adam Scott, Rob Huebel, John Early, Paul Rust, and David Wain. It was written by Julie Yaeger (Rudd’s wife) and directed by Alethea Jones.

Before Levine made his cameo in “Fun Moms Dinner,” he visited the Stern Show and told Howard how lifelong friend Jonah Hill helped him land his first acting role. Levine also shared the acting advice he got from Hill. Check out more from that interview here. Shannon, meanwhile, was part of the Stern Show’s Celebrity Superfan Roundtable in 2014.

“Fun Moms Dinner” hits select theaters and video on demand Aug. 4. Watch the trailer (above).
