“Cook Off!” co-stars Ben Falcone, Louie Anderson, and Wendi McLendon-Covey

After 10 years in the oven, Melissa McCarthy’s competitive-baking mockumentary is finally ready to be served.

Lionsgate has released the trailer for “Cook Off!,” a long-simmering comedy about a motley cast of amateur chefs who compete in the kitchen for a million dollar prize. The film actually premiered back in 2007 at the Comedy Arts Festival, according to Deadline, well before McCarthy’s work in “Bridesmaids” earned her an Oscar nomination.

The trailer (above) shows several varieties of kitchen shenanigans, including a scene where McCarthy—a master of physical comedy who famously played a chef for years on “Gilmore Girls”—trips while she’s running at full speed with a pot full of sweet potatoes.

The Stern Show veteran stars alongside her husband Ben Falcone, her future “Bridesmaids” compatriot Wendi McLendon-Covey, Niecy Nash, and a handful of famous comedians, including Louie Anderson and Diedrich Bader.

“Cook Off!,” directed by Cathryn Michon and Guy Shalem, will enjoy a VOD and limited theaterical release on Nov. 17. Watch the official trailer (above).
