VIDEO: Superman Returns in David Bowie-Inspired ‘Justice League’ Trailer

DC Comics' greatest heroes to share the screen in November

Superman is gone but not forgotten in a new David Bowie-inspired trailer for “Justice League,” Warner Bros.’ upcoming superhero team-up film which sees DC Comics’ most iconic crime-fighters coming together onscreen for the first time.

The “Heroes” trailer (above) begins on a farm in Smallville as Lois Lane (Amy Adams) dreams of her lost love Superman (Henry Cavill). In waking life, however, things are far more nightmarish—the death of Superman has paved the way for rampant crime and worldwide despair.

Luckily, Ben Affleck’s Batman has a plan. In a montage fittingly set to Gang of Youth’s cover of Bowie’s “Heroes,” the Caped Crusader recruits a team of do-gooders—including Wonder Woman (recent “Saturday Night Live” host Gal Gadot), Aquaman (former “Game of Thrones” star Jason Momoa), the Flash (Ezra Miller), and Cyborg (Ray Fisher)—to save the world from unspeakable horrors.

“Justice League,” also starring Willem Dafoe, Amber Heard, Jeremy Irons, and Stern Show veteran J.K. Simmons, hits theaters Nov. 17. Watch the latest trailer (above).
