Frankie Shaw is single but seemingly unable to mingle in the official series trailer for “SMILF,” her upcoming Showtime comedy about a scrappy young South Boston mom desperate to find romance.

Her character Bridgette struggles mightily in the trailer (above) to balance her duties as a mother with her needs as a single woman. She loves her son, but he isn’t doing her any favors when it comes to meeting a man.

Shaw, who adapted “SMILF” from her award-winning short film of the same name, stars on the half-hour comedy alongside “Nashville’s” Connie Britton (playing her friend Lily), “The Strain’s” Miguel Gomez (playing her baby daddy Rafi), and Stern Show veteran Rosie O’Donnell (playing her mother Tutu).

“SMILF” premieres Sunday, Nov. 5 at 10 p.m. on Showtime.
