VIDEO: Bryan Cranston, Anna Paquin, and Steve Buscemi Face the Future in ‘Philip K. Dick’s Electric Dreams’

Amazon’s 10-episode sci-fi anthology series debuts in 2018

October 6, 2017

Amazon has released the official trailer for “Philip K. Dick’s Electric Dreams,” a star-studded, sci-fi anthology series debuting in 2018. The studio and digital-streaming giant dropped the video Friday during its New York Comic-Con panel.

Steve Buscemi, Anna Paquin, Terrence Howard, and repeat Stern Show guest Bryan Cranston are just a few of the many big-name actors featured in the colorful trailer for the show, which adapts 10 different short stories from beloved science fiction author Philip K. Dick, whose work has inspired countless blockbuster films—including Steven Spielberg’s “Minority Report,” Paul Verhoeven’s “Total Recall,” and Ridley Scott’s recently sequeled “Blade Runner”—as well as Amazon’s Emmy winning sci-fi Nazi drama “The Man in the High Castle.”

Each episode of the series exists in a vastly different world, according to a press release, with some set in the furthest corners of the universe and others taking much closer to home. All of the stories are, however, united by one common theme: the intersection of humanity and technology.

“Philip K. Dick’s Electric Dreams,” also starring Greg Kinnear, Maura Tierney, Janell Monae, Vera Farmiga, and Benedict Wong, among others, is executive produced by Ronald D. Moore (“Battlestar Galactica”). Watch the official trailer (above). Check out another of Amazon’s New York Comic-Con videos for Season 3 of “The Man in the High Castle” here.
