Legendary rocker's latest EP arrives in December

November 3, 2017

At 71 years old, Neil Young shows no signs of slowing down any time soon.

The legendary rocker on Friday announced “The Visitor,” a December album which sees him once again teaming up with backing band Promise of the Real, featuring Willie Nelson’s son Lukas.

In addition to dropping major music news, the Godfather of Grunge also dropped the album’s lead single. Check out Young and Promise of the Real’s “Already Great” (above).

It’s been a busy year already for Neil who in September dropped “Hitchhiker,” a previously unreleased acoustic album he recorded 41 years ago in Malibu, Calif.

The 2014 Stern Show guest was also a topic of conversation during Howard’s October interview with Smashing Pumpkins frontman William Patrick Corgan. Not only did Corgan tell Stern Show listeners about the time he shared a tepee with Neil, Marilyn Manson, and Lou Reed, but the rocker also performed a rendition of one of Neil’s most beloved hits. Listen to Corgan cover “After the Gold Rush” on the Stern Show (below).

Neil Young and Promise of the Real’s “The Visitor” arrives Dec. 1. Pre-order a copy here.
