A 19-year-old Hollywood hopeful stumbles into a job on Carson’s “Tonight Show” in the official trailer for “There’s … Johnny!”
Hulu’s ’70s-set coming-of-age comedy follows Andy Klavin (Ian Nelson), a small-town boy with stars in his eyes who gets more than he bargains for after moving to Burbank, Calif., and landing a low-level job working behind-the-scenes on what would become America’s most iconic late-night talk show.
The series, co-created by Paul Reiser and David Steven Simons, combines scripted action with actual historical footage of Johnny and his “Tonight Show” guests. Co-stars on the seven-episode first season include Jane Levy, Roger Bart, and past Stern Show guest Tony Danza.
