VIDEO: Emily Blunt and John Krasinski Are Scared Silent in ‘A Quiet Place’ Teaser

Real-life husband and wife's supernatural horror film hits theaters in April

Silence is more than just golden in “A Quiet Place,” an upcoming supernatural horror film starring 2015 Stern Show guest Emily Blunt and real-life husband John Krasinski. Silence is survival.

On Thursday, Paramount Pictures released the official teaser (above) following a seemingly typical family (including Emily, John, and their two on-screen kids) as they enjoy life’s everyday pleasures in a rural farmhouse, from daytime naps and board games to wholesome family dinners.

But something is amiss. The characters seem terrified of making a sound. They walk softly on sand, communicate through sign language, and roll dice on padding—all to remain as quiet as possible. It’s unclear who or what might come for them if they make too much noise, but after the young boy Marcus (Noah Jupe) accidentally causes a loud racket it seems certain everyone is about to find out.

“A Quiet Place,” which Krasinski directed, marks the first on-screen pairing for he and his wife. When Emily joined the Stern Show in 2015, her interview with Howard touched upon a variety of topics, including her past relationships, becoming a U.S. citizen, and her performance in “Sicario.” Check out the full interview here.

“A Quiet Place” hits theaters in April 2018. Watch the teaser (above).
