Rapper and past Stern Show guest’s 8-part documentary series debuts Feb. 2 on Netflix

Snoop Dogg hopes to inspire young football players on “Coach Snoop,” an eight-episode documentary series hitting Netflix next month.

The newly released trailer for the upcoming show (above) examines the rap legend and past Stern Show guest’s long-running Snoop Youth Football League in South Central Los Angeles as well as his interactions with the teen athletes, as Snoop tries to help them grow both on and off the field.

While Snoop will likely always be best known for his contributions to the recording industry, “Coach Snoop” is far from his first TV venture. The 46-year-old Long Beach, Calif., native has hosted or starred on a variety of shows over the years, most recently alongside Martha Stewart on “Martha & Snoop’s Potluck Dinner Party” and as the host of the rebooted game show “The Joker’s Wild.”

“Coach Snoop” debuts Feb. 2 on Netflix. Watch the trailer (above).
