Computer-animated sequel soars into theaters in June

February 15, 2018

As if all of the United States’ gold medals thus far in Pyeongchang weren’t incredible enough, Disney and Pixar dropped a brand-new “Incredibles 2” trailer during Wednesday night’s 2018 Winter Olympics coverage.

Set immediately after the 2004 original, the computer-animated sequel follows a family of superheroes struggling to maintain normal lives while also occasionally saving the world. The latest clip for the long-awaited film (above) focuses heavily on the super-powered family’s domestic life, including scenes with Mr. Incredible (Craig T. Nelson) trying to take care of his rowdy kids, who are anxious to fight bad guys. Things take a turn for the incredible, however, when the family’s youngest son Jack-Jack discovers an array of secret powers.

Directed and co-starring Brad Bird, the “Incredibles 2” voice cast also includes Holly Hunter, Catherine Keener, Sophia Bush, Bob Odenkirk, John Ratzenberger, and Stern Show veteran Samuel L. Jackson.

“Incredibles 2” premieres June 15. Watch the Winter Olympics sneak peek (above).
