Two super-powered teens learn to harness the power of light and darkness in the final trailer for “Marvel’s Cloak & Dagger,” a comic book-inspired coming-of-age drama debuting in June.

Set to a cover of “House of the Rising Sun,” the trailer (above) begins as two teens in post-Hurricane Katrina New Orleans are coming to grips with newly awakened superpowers. Tandy (Olivia Holt) can suddenly emit daggers of light, while Tyrone (Aubrey Joseph) is able to engulf others in darkness and transport them through a different dimension. Linked by their diametrically opposed powers as well as a shared childhood tragedy, the two soon realize they make a formidable team.

While much of the show’s plot has been kept under wraps, “Cloak & Dagger” will be set in the Marvel Cinematic Universe along with movies and TV shows like “Avengers: Infinity War” and Jon Bernthal’s “The Punisher.” It also follows in the footsteps of several other comic-inspired series focusing on super-powered adolescents, like Hulu’s “Runaways” and Fox’s “The Gifted.”

Developed by showrunner Joe Pokaski (“Heroes”) and executive producers Jeph Loeb and Jim Chory (“The Punisher”), the upcoming series co-stars Andrea Roth, Gloria Reuben, Miles Mussenden, Carl Lundstedt, Emma Lahana, Jaime Zevallos, and J.D. Evermore.

“Marvel’s Cloak & Dagger” premieres Thursday, June 7 at 8 p.m on Freeform. Watch the final trailer (above).
