Power-pop pioneers Cheap Trick have dropped a sizzling new single to prepare fans for the coming season called “The Summer Looks Good on You.” The song will serve as the lead single off the Rockford, Ill.-based band’s forthcoming 20th album, available later this year.
Written by lead singer Robin Zander, guitarist Rick Nielsen, bassist Tom Petersson, and producer Julian Raymond, the catchy, guitar-heavy ditty features lyrics touching on everything from love to sunshine to tan lines.
Cheap Trick hasn’t revealed a title or track listing for its upcoming LP, which will impressively be the band’s third release since being inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame back in 2016. That same year, the guys returned to the Stern Show to discuss their long-awaited induction and perform some of the band’s most iconic hits.
