Watch Cardi B Channel Quentin Tarantino’s ‘Kill Bill’ in New Music Video for ‘Be Careful’

Song hails from recent Stern Show guest’s debut album, “Invasion of Privacy”

May 21, 2018

Cardi B released a music video on Monday for her song “Be Careful,” in which the rapper and recent Stern Show guest stars as a scorned bride-to-be at a church in the desert. Borrowing a page perhaps from fellow Stern Show veterans Uma Thurman and Quentin Tarantino’s similarly set 2003 epic “Kill Bill,” the video (above) takes a dark turn after Cardi decides to get her revenge.

The Bronx-born entertainer and recent BBMA winner flaunts two vastly different looks in the Jora Frantzis-directed effort, appearing first as a beautiful bride in a white, strapless gown and then later as a not-quite-grieving widow in black who has no problems burying a bad man.

The track itself—a cautionary tale of a philandering groom—boasts a ton of credited composers, including Lauryn Hill and certain members of the Wu-Tang Clan whose songs were sampled, as well as Cardi B herself. It’s the third single off her debut album “Invasion of Privacy,” following “Bartier Cardi” and the chart-topping “Bodak Yellow,” which Stern Show co-host Robin Quivers famously covered on her “Divas Project.”

When Cardi made her Stern Show debut in May 2018, she opened up to Howard about all aspects of her life and career, including her real-life romantic partner, Offset, and the baby girl the two are expecting.
