Action-packed sequel hits theaters June 29

May 25, 2018

Josh Brolin and past Stern Show guest Benicio del Toro team up once more to wage war on the Mexican drug cartels in the new trailer for the action-thriller “Sicario: Day of the Soldado.”

A follow-up to the 2015 original starring Stern Show veteran Emily Blunt, the upcoming “Sicario” sequel sees Benicio and Brolin reprising their roles as soldier of fortune Assassin Alejandro Gillick and C.I.A. operative Matt Graver, respectively.

In this one, the U.S.-Mexico border battles have escalated after cartels started sending terrorists north, forcing them to take the fight back down to the cartel’s backyards. After a young girl is kidnapped, Benicio and Josh—who fought on opposite sides in April’s “Avengers: Infinity War”—realize they might not actually see eye to eye.

“Sicario: Day of the Soldado,” co-starring Catherine Keener, Matthew Modine, Jeffrey Donovan, and Isabela Moner, opens June 29. Watch the latest trailer (above).
