VIDEO: Norm Macdonald Chats With Jane Fonda, David Letterman, Drew Barrymore, and David Spade in Trailer for New Netflix Series

“Norm Macdonald Has a Show,” co-starring Adam Eget, debuts Sept. 14

September 7, 2018

Anything goes on Norm Macdonald’s new Netflix talk-show, at least if the official trailer is any indication.

The comedian, “Saturday Night Live” veteran, and repeat Stern Show guest dropped a trailer on Friday for “Norm Macdonald Has a Show,” a no-holds-barred interview series featuring Norm and his co-host Adam Eget sitting down with a torrent of top-tier Hollywood talent, including recent Stern Show guests David Letterman, Jane Fonda, David Spade, and Drew Barrymore, among many others.

The first look (above) begins with Norm botching the name of his own show, and things only get zanier from there. By trailer’s end we see a dog wander across the set, a production assistant scaring the bejesus out of Norm, an invitation to visit a strip club, a mix-up between Judge Judy and Matthew McConaughey, and probing questions about everything from cocaine to mortality.

Norm last visited the Stern Show in 2016 and his interview with Howard touched upon a variety of subjects, like the origins of Norm’s “Weekend Update” anchor gig on “SNL” and his relationships with Steve Martin and Letterman. The conversation also concluded with Norm delivering a nine-minute long Dirty Johnny joke. Take a listen (below).

Other Stern Show guests appearing in the trailer or on upcoming episodes of the show include comedy legend Chevy Chase and director M. Night Shyamalan as well as “Saturday Night Live” creator Lorne Michaels, musician Billy Joe Shaver, and Oscar-winning actor Michael Keaton.

“Norm Macdonald Has a Show” debuts Friday, Sept. 14 on Netflix. Watch the trailer (above).
