VIDEO: Samuel L. Jackson Sets Loose the Beast in New ‘Glass’ Trailer

M. Night Shyamalan’s 2019 supervillain sequel costars Bruce Willis and James McAvoy

In Marvel’s “Avengers” franchise, it’s Samuel L. Jackson’s character Nick Fury who first convinces the superheroes to team-up against the forces of evil. In M. Night Shyamalan’s “Glass,” the actor and fellow Stern Show guest seems to be doing just the opposite.

The sequel’s latest trailer (above) begins with Bruce Willis’s super-strong hero from “Unbreakable,” James McAvoy’s monster with multiple personalities from “Split,” and Jackson’s titular evil genius trapped in a treatment facility under the care of Dr. Staple (Sarah Paulson), a psychiatrist specializing in patients who believe they have superpowers.

While Dr. Staple concocts experiments to prove whether or not her patients have abilities, Mr. Glass schemes to unleash the Beast, a wall-crawling killer that doubles as one of McAvoy’s personalities, so that the entire world will finally learn villains, heroes, and superpowers exist. Sure enough, the Beast is eventually let loose — with mayhem soon to follow.

“Glass,” also starring Anya Taylor-Joy, Spencer Treat Clark, and Charlayne Woodard, hits theaters Jan. 18, 2019. Watch the latest trailer (above).
