Kevin Hart has enrolled in a literal school of hard knocks in the new trailer for his upcoming comedy “Night School.”
The actor, comedian, and repeat Stern Show guest stars in the film as a successful entrepreneur who loses everything and is forced to go back to night school to get his G.E.D. in a class taught by Tiffany Haddish, star of “Girls Trip” and Tracy Morgan’s “The Last O.G.”
If the newly released trailer (above) is any indication, however, Hart’s new class will test him physically as well as mentally. At two different points in the Universal Pictures clip, Haddish lays a beatdown on Hart’s character—once while he’s in a chicken costume and later again in the boxing ring as she’s teaching him square roots.
“She’s not like the teachers we had back in the day,” his character explains of Haddish at one point (above). “This woman is a brick wall.”
During his 2017 Stern Show visit, Kevin opened up a bit about his education outside the classroom. He said he learned a valuable lesson from his father at an early age: nine-year-olds shouldn’t drive speedboats. Check out a clip of Kevin’s conversation with the King of All Media (below).
Directed by Malcolm D. Lee (“Girls Trip"), "Night School" co-stars actor-comedian Rob Riggle, "Saturday Night Live" veteran Taran Killam, and "40-Year-Old Virgin" star Romany Malco. The movie hits theaters Sept. 28.
