VIDEO: Robert Downey Jr. Makes Goofy Faces and Scarlett Johansson Parodies Her Own Commercial in ‘Avengers: Infinity War’ Gag Reel

It seems even Earth’s mightiest heroes need a break every once in a while.

Marvel Studios has unleashed the gag reel from its recent comic book-inspired blockbuster “Avengers: Infinity War,” in which Iron Man (Robert Downey Jr.), Black Widow (Scarlett Johansson), and a great many of their super-powered pals team up to try and take down an intergalactic dictator named Thanos (Josh Brolin). With billions of lives on the line the stakes in the movie were as dramatic as they come, but as the teaser (above) from the upcoming special feature-filled Blu-Ray and DVD shows, the film’s A-list actors weren’t above injecting a healthy dose of comedy into a few takes.

In one outtake, longtime Stern Show guest RDJ makes goofy kissy faces at the camera. In another, Scarlett, a Stern Show veteran herself, goes off script with a line from her L’Oreal Paris commercials. There are green screen disasters and line flubs, too, including one with Benedict Cumberbatch giving his hero Doctor Strange a brand-new name after forgetting how to walk.

Other stars letting loose include Zoe Saldana as Gamora, Tom Holland as Spider-Man, Chris Pratt as Star-Lord, Letitia Wright as Shuri, Chris Evans as Captain America, Elizabeth Olsen as Scarlet Witch, Paul Bettany as Vision, Benedict Wong as Wong, and Mark Ruffalo as Bruce Banner, to name a few.

“Avengers: Infinity War,” which Stern Show staffer Jason Kaplan dubbed “the best Avengers movie” yet, arrives Tuesday on Blu-Ray and DVD. Get a sneak peek at the gag reel (above).
