VIDEO: Jon Bernthal Reminds Us He’s ‘The One Who Does the Killing’ in ‘Punisher’ Season 2 Teaser

Stern Show guest’s Marvel-Netflix series returns Jan. 18

Jon Bernthal prepares to bring the pain in the latest teaser for “The Punisher” Season 2, arriving Jan. 18 on Netflix.

In addition to revealing the new batch of episodes’ premiere date, the clip (above) features Frank Castle (Bernthal)—who doubles as the violent vigilante the Punisher—waving around an automatic weapon while predicting a fresh round of lethal justice is on the way. He’s not the only one gearing up for war, however. Castle will once again face his arch-enemy Billy Russo (Ben Barnes), whose face was badly deformed at the end of Season 1 and has since devolved into the Marvel comic book villain Jigsaw.

“This face has everything that I ever did wrong written all over it,” Jigsaw explains (above) in the middle of what appears to be a psychotic breakdown.

“You need to let me be what I’m meant to be,” the Punisher responds. “I’m not the one who dies. I’m the one that does the killing.”

Jon made his Stern Show debut in late 2017, sitting down with Howard just a few days before the premiere of “The Punisher” Season 1. In addition to opening up about his experiences embodying the iconic comic book character, he spoke to Howard about filming a controversial sex scene on “The Walking Dead,” slapping fellow Stern Show guest Jonah Hill in “The Wolf of Wall Street,” and his improbable start as an actor.

“Marvel’s The Punisher” Season 2, also starring Amber Rose Revah, Jason R. Moore, and Deborah Ann Woll, debuts Jan. 18 on Netflix.
