Rock bands’ “Hella Mega Tour” kicks off next July in Paris

September 10, 2019

It’s shaping up to be a banner day for Green Day, Weezer, and Fall Out Boy fans.

The chart-topping rock bands each dropped fresh singles on Tuesday in addition to unveiling key new details about their upcoming albums and announcing plans to join forces next summer for a massive world tour.

Green Day released “Father of All,” the title track off the repeat Stern Show guests’ next studio album, arriving Feb. 7, while Weezer dropped the official music video for “The End of the Game,” a new single off their 15th studio album “Van Weezer,” arriving May 15. Fall Out Boy unloaded “Dear Future Self (Hands Up),” a track featuring legendary lyricist Wyclef Jean. The song appears on the band’s upcoming hits collection “Greatest Hits: Believers Never Die – Volume Two,” out Nov. 15.

All three albums precede the bands’ “Hella Mega Tour,” kicking off July 13 in Paris. The massive worldwide stadium tour features the ska band The Interrupters and runs through Aug. 29 in Philadelphia. The trio of rock bands even released multiple trippy announcement videos for the “Hella Mega Tour” on each of the band’s YouTube channels, including one paying homage to the film “Anchorman” by digitally replacing the faces of Will Ferrell, Vince Vaughn, and Luke Wilson with those of Green Day’s Billie Joe Armstrong, Fall Out Boy’s Pete Wentz, and Weezer’s Rivers Cuomo.

“Hella Mega Tour” pre-sale begins Tuesday, Sept. 16—get tour dates and ticket info here. Watch Weezer’s “The End of the Game” music video (above), Green Day’s “Father of All” (below), and Fall Out Boy’s “Dear Future Self (Hands Up)” (bottom).
