VIDEO: Rod Stewart Teams Up With Royal Philharmonic Orchestra on ‘You’re in My Heart’ LP

Legendary vocalist and repeat Stern Show guest Rod Stewart is revisiting some of his most iconic work in “You’re in My Heart,” a full LP with original arrangements from the London-based Royal Philharmonic Orchestra.

Marrying the “Maggie May” singer’s original vocal tracks with the new orchestral interpretations, the career-spanning set features some of Stewart’s biggest hits, including “Reason to Believe,” “Tonight’s the Night (Gonna Be Alright),” and much more. Also included is a new recording of “It Takes Two” with Robbie Williams and one original, “Stop Loving Her Today.” Stewart has already teased the project with a video (above) for “Sailing,” which was originally included on the 1975 album “Atlantic Crossing.”

Available November 22 via Rhino, the album will be offered in two versions: a 15-track CD as well as 22 tracks over two discs in deluxe form. In support of the project, Stewart kicked off a fall tour Sept. 18 with the first of several shows in Las Vegas before reuniting with former Faces bandmate Jeff Beck in Los Angeles on Sept. 27.

Stewart, you might remember, last sat down with Howard back in October 2015, when he and his band did some revisiting of their own with a take on his cover of the Cat Stevens classic “The First Cut Is the Deepest.”
