VIDEO: Seth Meyers Slings Action Figures and Argues With Children in ‘Lobby Baby’ Stand-Up Special Trailer

Late-night host and repeat Stern Show guest delivers his Netflix comedy special on Nov. 5

Seth Meyers has trouble communicating with children in the trailer for his upcoming Netflix stand-up comedy special “Lobby Baby.”

The clip begins with the late-night host, comedian, “Saturday Night Live” veteran, and repeat Stern Show guest walking in on a group of children playing with action figures and plastic dinosaurs.

“Hey kids, tired of your old action figures? Then you need to try the new Standup Seth?” he says over images of an action figure sharing his likeness. “If you love Desk Seth, you’re going to go crazy for Standup Seth. He does everything kids love to do: he stands, he tells jokes, and he even walks from one side of stage to the other side of the stage.”

The children are unimpressed. “Seems lame,” one tells him.

“Maybe you’re lame, have you considered that?” Seth responds. Later, he adds: “By the way, all your dinosaurs died.”

Filmed at the Pantages Theater in Minneapolis, Seth’s stand-up special reportedly tackles everything from why one should never take their girlfriend to Paris for her birthday to family and fatherhood. The name for the special is itself derived from the birth of Seth’s son Axel, who was delivered in the lobby of his apartment building.

“Seth Meyers: Lobby Baby” arrives Nov. 5 on Netflix.
