“You guys, we’re back in Jumanji,” Jack Black exclaims as Professor Shelly Oberon-slash-teenager Bethany in the latest and final trailer for “Jumanji: the Next Level.”
Out in December, this sequel to the 2017 follow-up of the 1995 original has Stern Show vets Black, Kevin Hart, and Dwayne “the Rock” Johnson plus Karen Gillan lost in “the world’s most dangerous game.” To find their way home, they must venture through unchartered and frightening territory, facing a barrage of terrifying beasts along the way.
High schoolers Fridge (Ser’Darius Blain), Martha (Morgan Turner), and Bethany (Madison Iseman) are tasked with re-entering the Jumanji video game to save their friend Spencer (Alex Wolff). Making things a little more challenging, each character awakens in-game as a different avatar, adding several layers of confusion.
The film also stars Danny DeVito, Danny Glover, and Awkwafina, with Jake Kasdan directing once more.
“Jumanji: The Next Level” hits theaters Dec. 13.
