VIDEO: Adam Devine Plays an Unorthodox Therapist in Weezer’s ‘California Snow’ Clip

Track appears in the new film “Spell,” starring and directed by Brendan Walter

Actor Adam Devine, currently starring in HBO’s televangelist comedy “The Righteous Gemstones,” portrays a therapist with unusual methods in “California Snow,” the latest video from past Stern Show guests Weezer.

The song, which was released as part of the band’s “The Black Album” earlier this year, is also featured in “Spell,” the debut film from actor and director Brendan Walter, whom also directs and appears in the video (above).

In the clip, Devine’s therapist character uses tactics such as singing along to the electro poppy song with his patient Walter. In a bizarre crescendo, a torso-wielding Devine maniacally plays the bongos while guiding Walter through a journey of supposed wellness as the video ends.

Weezer’s “Hella Mega Tour” with Green Day and Fall Out Boy kicks off July 13 in Paris.
