Trailer for John Krasisnski-directed sequel drops New Year’s Day

Paramount Pictures has released a short and chillingly quiet teaser for “A Quiet Place Part II,” the much-anticipated sequel to actor John Krasisnki’s 2018 original.
In the teaser, Krasinski’s real-life wife and Stern Show guest Emily Blunt ( Evelyn Abbot), leads her children (Millicent Simmonds and Noah Jupe) along a sandy trail before making it to the forest, the only sounds being that of the floor along with crickets. The clip ends with Blunt’s bandaged foot hitting the leaves.
“Following the deadly events at home, the Abbott family must now face the terrors of the outside world as they continue their fight for survival in silence,” a synopsis from Paramount read. “Forced to venture into the unknown, they quickly realize that the creatures that hunt by sound are not the only threats that lurk beyond the sand path.”
A full teaser for the film will release on New Year’s Day.
“A Quiet Place Part II” hits theaters March 20.
