February 11, 2019

The 2019 Grammy Awards were held Sunday, recognizing last year’s biggest achievements in the recording industry.

There were a diverse field of winners at the 61st annual ceremony with some of the night’s most celebrated prizes going to Kacey Musgraves for Album of the Year (“Golden Hour”), Childish Gambino for Record and Song of the Year (“This Is America”), and recent Stern Show guest Cardi B for Best Rap Album (“Invasion of Privacy”).

Other big winners included Brandi Carlile who took home three awards, fellow Stern Show guest Hugh Jackman who now only needs an Oscar to complete the coveted “EGOT,” and the late Chris Cornell who won Best Rock Performance for his posthumous album “When Bad Does Good.” Greta Van Fleet, “Weird” Al Yankovic, Dave Chappelle, Pharrell Williams, Kendrick Lamar, Willie Nelson, and Howard’s recent recording partner Mark Ronson also took home awards as well as Bradley Cooper & Lady Gaga for their duet “Shallow” from “A Star Is Born.”
