VIDEO: Seth Rogen’s ‘The Boys’ Drops NSFW Trailer Proving Superheroes Have Sex and Drop F-Bombs, Too

Stern Show regular's latest comic book-inspired series debuts July 26 on Amazon Prime Video

Seth Rogen shared a new trailer Thursday for his upcoming superhero show “The Boys,” and it looks like the caped crusaders in his universe have zero interest in keeping it PG-13.

Created by the Stern Show regular, his longtime collaborator Evan Goldberg, and “Supernatural” mastermind Eric Kripke, the irreverent and entirely unwholesome series follows a group of superpowered miscreants called “The Seven” who spend their days fighting crime and their nights abusing their powers and fame to do bad, bad things.

“People love superheroes, but if you knew half the shit they get up to—fucking diabolical,” Karl Urban’s character Billy Butcher explains (above) while the Seven drops expletives, makes people’s heads explode, and has sex with most anything that moves, including perhaps playground toys. There’s even one Ant-Man-inspired member of the supergroup who shrinks himself small enough to sneak right up a woman’s skirt.

“The Boys,” co-starring Elisabeth Shue (“Death Wish”), Jack Quaid (“Logan Lucky”), Karen Fukuhara (“Suicide Squad”), Jennifer Esposito (“Crash”), Tomer Capon, and Erin Moriarty (“Jessica Jones”), is based on a comic series from Garth Ennis, the same guy who created the comics behind Rogen and Goldberg’s similarly violent TV show “Preacher.” When Seth visited the Stern Show in 2017, he told Howard all about developing “Preacher” with Goldberg, who also worked with him on hits like “Sausage Party,” “Knocked Up,” and “Superbad.” Take a look back at the interview here.

“The Boys” premieres July 26 on Amazon Prime Video.
