Rock and roll legend Mick Jagger has one foot in the art world and one foot in the underworld in the upcoming thriller “The Burnt Orange Heresy,” arriving next month.

Directed by Giuseppe Capotondi, the film’s new trailer (above) begins with Elizabeth Debicki (“The Cloverfield Paradox”) and Claes Bang (“Dracula”) agreeing to vacation at the luxurious Italian estate of a renowned art collector, played by Jagger. After getting wined and dined, Mick’s character convinces the couple to help him commit the perfect caper and steal a painting from a hermit-like artist played by Donald Sutherland.

“At the edge of my property there’s a dilapidated little house. In this house there’s an artist. No critic has spoken to this guy in over 50 years,” Jagger explains before asking his guests to “procure” one of the artist’s priceless works.

Though he’s obviously best known as the longtime frontman for the Rolling Stones, Jagger has been no stranger to cinema over the years. He’s previously starred in “Ned Kelly,” “Freejack,” and “Performance,” among other films. When Craig Ferguson joined the Stern Show in 2017 he actually told Howard about the time Jagger commissioned him to write a screenplay, though it didn’t turn out as planned. Watch Craig recount his Mick Jagger anecdote for Howard (below).

“The Burnt Orange Heresy” opens March 6 in select theaters.
