Two Stern Show veterans and country music legends just teamed up on a new ballad.

Willie Nelson has released “Our Song,” a tune penned by country superstar Chris Stapleton. The track appears on Willie’s upcoming album “First Rose of Spring.”

“Our Song” serves as the second ditty released off the 86-year-old singer-songwriter’s forthcoming EP, set to arrive in April. It’s not the first time he and Stapleton have teamed up, either. The two have toured together plenty over the years and Chris has also covered Nelson’s 1982 song “Last Thing I Needed, First Thing This Morning” for his Grammy-winning album “From A Room: Volume 1.” “I can easily say Willie Nelson is one of my biggest musical influences,” Stapleton said in a statement to Rolling Stone. “It just doesn’t get any better than hearing him sing a song I wrote.”

Chris had plenty to say about his influences during his 2017 sit down with Howard, too. As Stern Show fans will remember, he also performed a memorable in-studio rendition of his chart-topping track “Broken Halos.” Take a listen (below).

Willie, meanwhile, has stopped by the Stern Show multiple times over the years. In 2014, he sat down with Howard and spoke about everything from his love for marijuana to how he wrote some of his biggest hits like “Crazy” and “On the Road Again.”

Willie Nelson’s “First Rose of Spring” arrives April 24.
