VIDEO: Kristen Wiig and Annie Mumolo Embark on a Wild Adventure in ‘Barb & Star Go to Vista Del Mar’ Trailer

“Saturday Night Live” veteran and recent “Wonder Woman 1984” star Kristen Wiig teams back up with “Bridesmaids” collaborator Annie Mumolo for the adventure of a lifetime in the trailer for the February comedy “Barb & Star Go to Vista Del Mar.”

The clip follows besties Star (Wiig), short for Starbra, and Barb (Mumolo) as they wave goodbye to their small Midwestern town for the very first time, trading in living room get-togethers catered with hot dog soup for one-piece bathing suits and oversized hats on the beach. Though the duo are fish out of water in Vista Del Mar, they don’t let that stop them from riding jet skis, flirting with shirtless hardbodies, and purchasing every tacky souvenir they can get their hands on. Before long Star and Barb stumble across more romance and excitement than they can handle as well as a villainous plot they somehow find themselves at the center of.

“Barb & Star Go to Vista Del Mar” also stars Jamie Dornan, Damon Wayans Jr., Fortune Feimster, Wendi McLeandon-Covey, Rose Abdoo, Vanessa Bayer, Phyllis Smith, and Kwame Patterson. Josh Greenbaum (“Becoming Bond”) directed the film with a script from Wiig and Mumolo, who similarly wrote and appeared in the raunchy 2011 hit “Bridesmaids.”
