Ant-Man does a different kind of shrinking in the teaser for Paul Rudd’s dark comedy series “The Shrink Next Door,” arriving in November.

The movie star, Marvel superhero, and repeat Stern Show guest plays Dr. Isaac “Ike” Herschkopfon, a charming but manipulative therapist who weasels his way into the life of one of his most vulnerable patients, Marty (Will Ferrell), in the hope of exploiting him for personal gain.

“I’m not going to use you,” Rudd tells Ferrell’s character Marty (above), adding, “I have your best interest at heart, but without trust we have nothing.”

Based on Joe Nocera’s identically titled true crime podcast, “The Shrink Next Door” co-stars Kathryn Hahn (“WandaVision”) and Casey Wilson (“Black Monday”) alongside Ferrell and Rudd who serve as executive producers.

Rudd plays a therapist on “The Shrink Next Door,” but when he visited the Stern Show in 2019, he was the one sitting on the couch and opening up about his life. He spoke to Howard about a wide range of topics, from playing a superhero on the big screen to running over Jennifer Aniston’s foot with a Segway on the set of “Friends.” Watch a clip from the interview (below).

“The Shrink Next Door” premieres Nov. 12 on Apple TV+.
