Legendary funnyman Kevin Hart makes his dramatic debut on the Netflix series “True Story,” arriving Nov. 24.

The actor, comedian and producer plays Kid, a Hollywood big shot who finds trouble after returning home to Philadelphia for a stop on his tour. It isn’t long before he and his brother Carlton (Wesley Snipes) are entangled in a dangerous mess of crime, lies, and paparazzi.

Tawny Newsome, Will Catlett, Paul Adelstein, Theo Rossi, Ash Santos, John Ales, Chris Diamantopoulos, Lauren London, and Billy Zane co-star on the seven-episode limited series which Eric Newman wrote, Stephen Williams and Hanelle Culpepper directed, and Hart and several others produced.

Hart, a real-life Philadelphia native, memorably opened up to Howard about his upbringing during his 2016 Stern Show debut. In addition to sharing stories from growing up in the City of Brotherly Love, he told listeners all about his early days as a stand-up and what it was like to work as a shoe salesmen. Check out a clip from the conversation (below).

“True Story” debuts Nov. 24 on Netflix.
