VIDEO: Courteney Cox and Greg Kinnear Buy a Creepy House in ‘Shining Vale’ Sneak Peek
Horror comedy debuts March 6 on Starz
January 19, 2022“Friends” actress and recent Stern Show guest Courteney Cox stars opposite Greg Kinnear in Starz’s horror comedy “Shining Vale,” arriving in March.
A sneak peek for the upcoming series sees the actors playing a married couple looking for a fresh start in the quaint but creepy titular town. When buying a spacious but spooky home, Pat (Cox) is revealed to be an author who found fame writing raunchy women’s novels.
“Oh, the lady porn,” Robyn (Sherilyn Fenn), their realtor, exclaims (above).
“It’s not porn. It’s a women’s empowerment story about a sex addict that makes bad choices,” Courteney’s character clarifies. “I’m hoping that being out in the country is going to help me find my muse again.”
In real life, Cox has had no trouble finding her muse as of late. In addition to co-starring in the latest “Scream” thriller, she recently appeared on a “Friends” reunion special surrounded by all her cast mates. When she visited the Stern Show in 2021 with her co-stars Jennifer Aniston and Lisa Kudrow, Courteney told Howard about how much comedy Jim Carrey inspired on the set of “Ace Ventura,” even when cameras weren’t rolling.
“He was so funny. It was just [about] cracking up all the time,” Courteney said of Jim, revealing he would stay in character even during breaks.
